Wildlife and Exotic Animal Medicine Internship

Students from all over the world come to the Center to work and study in both  the New England Wildlife Center’s wildlife hospital and in the Odd Pet Vet, a commercial exotic animal veterinary practice.   Undergraduate students and high school students come to the Center to gain valuable first hand experience in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), veterinary medical technology, medicine and natural history.  Our internship program specializes in full-immersion apprentice-style job training.  Many students go on to veterinary school, but many others are going on to work or study in other science related fields.  Students come to us from schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Boston University, Boston College, Mt. Ida College, Becker College, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, Colby, and the Universities of Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine, Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, and so forth.  New England Wildlife Center is committed to including students from community colleges and to offering this learning opportunity to students who may not ordinarily participate.  All learning styles are embraced. Internship opportunities exist throughout the calendar year.
